Non-Profit Resource Center
The Nonprofit Resource Center provides visitors with free public access to online resources, along with a curated collection of books on fundraising, grant writing, and nonprofit management. The Center is also a partner of Candid, a nonprofit that offers comprehensive resources for both grant research and nonprofit analysis, providing access to funding opportunities as well as in-depth information about nonprofit organizations and their work. Formed in 2019 through the merger of GuideStar and the Foundation Center, Candid brings together trusted data, tools, and insights that make it easier to discover, understand, and support the work of nonprofits and strengthen impact across communities all available now under one platform; Candid Search.

The Nonprofit Resource Center is designed to serve the needs of grant seekers, funders and donors. As a Candid partner, the Nonprofit Resource Center provides visitors with free public access to Candid Search, the most comprehensive source of nonprofit information, combining decades of trusted data from Foundation Directory and GuideStar.
With Candid Search patrons can access data on 1.9 million+ nonprofits and 304,000 grantmakers to:
- Find organizations where you can donate, volunteer, or work.
- Seek out local resources and services, like food banks or shelters.
- Easily find and connect with funders for your nonprofit or project.

Visit The Nonprofit Resource Center’s Core Collection of print materials
This collection is targeted primarily to nonprofit organizations that qualify under IRS code 501c(3) to receive private foundation grants, including schools, neighborhood organizations, service agencies and government agencies and whose purposes are charitable, educational, scientific, religious, literary or cultural. Some foundation grants can be awarded to individuals as scholarships or for artistic endeavors.
